My Highlights
Wireframing and UI/UX Flows
Created wireframes and UX flows that clarified feature intent early and aligned design, UI art and engineering before implementation began. This reduced back-and-forth during development and helped ensure menus and navigation supported gameplay systems in a clear, intuitive way for players.
Developing New Feature Concepts within the Classic Worms Framework
Designed concepts for new gameplay features that expanded on the familiar Worms toolkit while keeping the core identity intact.
Early Input System Design for Mobile
Supported the early phase of adapting Worms’ controls for mobile by developing gesture-based prototypes and exploration work that informed later iterations led by the senior design team.
Designing Multiplayer Meta Systems
Designed multiplayer systems including matchmaking flows, player profiles and character customisation, with a focus on supporting progression, short play sessions and long-term player engagement in a mobile context.
Behind the game
I joined the project at its inception, giving me the opportunity to explore what makes Worms’ gameplay identity so distinctive and how to introduce fresh mechanics without disrupting the core experience. I worked on breaking down the systems that define Worms and finding ways to integrate new interactions and challenges that felt both innovative and familiar to long-time fans.
One of the key goals of the project was adapting Worms to a touch-based interface, which allowed me to exercise and refine my UI/UX and 3Cs skills. Working closely with a UI designer, I provided wireframes for all of the menus in the game and iterated on control schemes based on player feedback. Additionally, the project gave me a chance to refresh and expand my Unity skills while contributing to a beloved franchise in a meaningful way.
